The Solomon Valley Community Foundation is excited to announce the addition of Gary Pingel to its Board of Directors. Gary brings decades of experience in education, communication, and community service to the Foundation, along with a deep commitment to the people and future of Mitchell County.

Gary and his wife, Audrey, both Nebraska natives, moved to Beloit in 1982. Together, they raised six children and now enjoy spending time with their eleven grandchildren. In his free time, Gary enjoys fishing, camping, and playing disc golf.
Professionally, Gary spent his career working at the Beloit Correctional Facility and teaching college-level speech and composition courses through Fort Hays Tech North Central and Beloit High School. His years in education and public service helped him develop strong communication, counseling, and leadership skills — all of which he now brings to his work as a community volunteer.
Julia Rabe, Executive Director of the Solomon Valley Community Foundation, expressed her excitement about Gary’s appointment, saying, “Gary’s compassion for people and his lifelong dedication to education and service reflect the very heart of what our foundation stands for. We’re thrilled to welcome him to the board and look forward to the insight and enthusiasm he’ll bring to our work.”
The Solomon Valley Community Foundation connects donors to causes that matter, investing in projects and organizations that enhance the quality of life in Mitchell County and the surrounding area.
